1) Visual Inspection

We will determine severity and begin formulating a mold remediation plan.

2) Air Quality Testing (optional)

In severe cases we may recommend laboratory air quality testing to determine the specific types of mold present, associated health risks and to receive an official mold remdiation protocol from the lab. . We only recommend this step if there is a high probability of the presence of Stachybotrys.

3) Contain Area

Mold is easily spread through out your entire home in a short period of time. One of the first things that needs to be done is to contain the spread of mold. We use negative air containment in conjunction with HEPA filtration to safely remove and prevent propagation of the mold.

Removing Less Harmful Mold

There are many funguses that aren’t as dangerous to your health like pink mold. And while they do need to be removed from your home, you don’t need to arm yourself with eye goggles, or a respiratory mask, or block off part of a room just to remove them.

As a matter of fact, some may be as easy as tossing food out of the refrigerator. Of course getting rid of mold isn’t always that easy, but it isn’t really that difficult either.

For example, most shower mold and mildew can be removed by spraying the affected area with a product that’s designed for bathroom mold and mildew. Then all you need to do is allow it to set for the time indicated on the bottle and wipe it clean.

Removing Harmful Mold

However, there may be instances where you’ll want a Certified and Licensed Company to remove the mold safely and permanently. Black Mold known as Strachybotrys Atra and other toxic molds require the use of protective gear and negative air containment in conjunction with HEPA filtration to safely remove and prevent propagation of the mold. Air circulation will also need to be suspended during cleaning to prevent cross contamination.
